Finally, Google Reader shut down,
permanently.
Here is something between Google Reader and me:
1
It was created in early 2005 by
Google engineer Chris Wetherell and launched on October 7, 2005, through Google
Labs.[1]
2
I started use Google Reader at
the end of 2006.[2] And
formally introduce Google Reader in my Blog on 2007-01-07.[3]
3
I enjoy a lot of benefits from
Google Reader:
3.1
No ads, customized content.
3.2
Customized search within the
content you subscribed.
3.3
Good support to mobile reading
in many mobile OS.
3.4
Most of the time, GFW cannot block
the content in it.
4 Most of Google Reader alternatives cannot play as well as Google Reader.
4.1
Most of alternatives more focus
on UI, like feedly.
4.2
None of alternatives could replace the function of 3.2 above.
5
Finally, don’t forget a important developers of RSS, Aaron Swartz[4],
hanged himself on 2013-01-11.
The song below is delicate to Google
Reader.
